WHAT COURSES ?

(1) GodSpaces ( track one ) is the entry level for all other courses and training because it is pivotal to Refocussing. God Spaces is in itself a theory and practice, which provides a reliable, predictable and repeatable way to  facilitate people to find and learn how to use their God Spaces to refocus on where God is and what He knows. Dr Divett’s, step by step, God Spaces workbook and DVD (see resources page) outlines what and how to use God Spaces.  Also, for an example  see how Dr Divett with a skilled team  conducted a 12 day intensive to equip and train local pastors, leaders and counsellors to learn the theory and practice of Godspaces to shift people from trauma to encounter God as the One who heals/ resources and /resolves traumatic memories from a war torn past. (2) Refocussing Life Development, small group teaching curriculum (Track 2) includes :

(a) Refocussing -life mapping & Life coaching, (b) Refocussing:  Journey in Self, Other people, and God awareness curriculum

These courses provide an introduction to some simple but profound skills, interventions and activities that will empower you to create and articulate an aspect of the vision that God has for you in relation to your God future. This course allows you to examine, using a variety of exercises and activities, where you have come from, where you are now, and where you are going (vision) and how you are going to get there (strategies and action plans). This track includes an introduction and a 10 lesson curriculum designed for individuals to engage in a highly interactive life coaching/mentoring process. The  curriculum is also designed for small groups as a self awareness God awareness programme(click category life mapping). This course is also tailor made for a pastoral care programme in churches and can be applied as a church leadership consultancy programme to establish the vision, goals, strategies and directions for the particular church to discover and clarify its specific purpose.

(3) Refocussing Theory & therapy (the counsellor training programme) Track 3:

Part one: An introduction to Refocussing .

This course is suitable suitable for everyone . It is introductory and provides an exciting  way to learn more about yourself and God – this course is a prerequisite for any further training as a Refocussing pastoral counsellor, lay counsellor, clinical counsellor, lfe map coach, spiritual director or self awareness faciliatator. This programme is an extraordinary way to gain self awareness and some useful Refocussing skills to apply to yourself and family. As well you will go away with a simple but profound way of connecting to God via your Godspaces! (click onto categories – RF part one course content )

Part two: The theory and practice of Refocussing – Refocussing is an actual theory, conforming to the rules of what constitutes a sound theory. RF goes beyond being a mere model or a paradigm.   The theory has been carefully constructed so that’ focus’ on  people’s ‘unmet needs’, and then a refocus- that is, a way to attend to those ‘unmet needs’ is provided, via the unique component, the God spaces, which is the central part of Dr Divett’s ’seven foci integration system’ (specifically designed to integrate psychology and theology in a sound academic way). This seven foci integration system is designed to attend to the whole person,  that is the Intra- personal ( intellectual, emotional, moral, physical) Interpersonal (social/relational, recreational/leisure, vocational/career) and Transpersonal (spiritual). The  inclusion of an adaptation of David Grove’s ‘clean language’ process also allows for a ‘clean’ and ‘uncontaminated’ way to conduct the therapy thus minimising transference and counter-transference. This course is both theoretical and practical with 50% lectures including demonstrations, and 50% interactive learning exercise. Part one is a prerequisite for entry into part two – this course is suitable for pastors, counsellors, psychologists and those training to be counsellors, socialworkers and so on. (click categories -RF part 2 course content).

Part three: The Applied theory and practice of Refocussing -

Prerequisites are part one and two. This course is designed for those who are practising Refocussing. The course content deals with more in depth detail an analysis of part one and two, with actual case studies, mental health issues, and more critical analysis of ones practice involved (click categories RF part 3).
