Godspaces in Rwanda

When: 2008: 24 April – May 6 ; October 1-13

A 12 day intensive in April May, followed up again in October  to equip and train local pastors, leaders and counsellors to learn the theory and practice of Godspaces to shift people from trauma to encounter God as the One to heal/ resource and /resolve traumatic memories from a war torn past.

The team consists of:

Dr. Diane Divett
Holds a Masters Degree in Counselling, has a trained teachers Certificate and a PhD in Education. During her studies she developed and benchmarked a theory and practice called “Refocussing”. This theory comprises psychology and education principles, which form the basis of a new method called Godspaces. Godspaces is a simple counselling practice uniquely created to address trauma. It is this counselling theory and practice that Dr. Divett will train Rwanda leaders to deliver to individuals and groups.

Pastor Hamish Divett
Hamish holds a degree in Social Sciences and is a trained teacher as well as having been in ministry for over 30 years. They pioneered several churches including one of New Zealands innovative churches to reach young people. Hamish and Diane continue to pastor. Hamish specialises in ministering to pastors and is sought after as an international speaker, teacher and Refocussing counseller.

Jill Findlay

Jill holds a Graduate Diploma in Counseling. For the past 10 years Jill has delivered Refocussing workshops throughout Australasia, assisted in Germany, London and of course Rwanda.
